Colin's Acting career

Set in a fictional Irish village, the series provided Farrell with his television debut, where he played the role of Danny Byrne. Although a relatively small part, it introduced him to wider audiences and marked the beginning of his career in television and film.

His early film debut followed shortly after, in "The War Zone" (1999), directed by Tim Roth. These early roles laid the foundation for his rapid rise in the early 2000s.

The early 2000s was a busy time in Farrell's career as he was cast alongside some of Hollywood's bigger names such as Kevin Spacey in Ordinary Decent Criminal (2000), Michael Shannon in Tigerland, Hartswar with Bruce Willis, Tom Cruis in Minority Report (2002), Forest Whitaker & Kiefer Sutherland in Phone Booth (2002) and Al Pacino in The Recruit (2003).

Within a few short years the Hollywood career for Colin Farrell was unstoppable. However, Farrell didn't leave behind opportunities to star in Irish movies.
